Sunshine Coast Health Centre, a top-rated drug rehab and alcohol treatment centre serving British Columbia and Alberta as well as of all of Canada, is proud to announce new safety protocols during the COVID-19 pandemic. The new procedures clarify what the Centre is already doing to maximize client safety yet continue to offer drug rehabilitation and alcohol treatment services to clients from British Columbia, Alberta, and all of Canada.

"We focus on the health and safety of our inpatient clients very seriously, especially in times like these," explained Casey Jordan, Chief Marketing Officer. "Our medical observation services straddle between the safety needs of COVID-19 and the importance of beginning treatment for drugs, alcohol, substance abuse, or trauma," she continued.

Interested persons are encouraged to reach out to the Centre for a private consultation and to discuss the new procedures. They can also read the COVID-19 response sheet at https://www.sunshinecoasthealthcentre.ca/our-response-to-covid-19. SUMMARY OF COVID-19 OBSERVATION SERVICES

Here is the background on this release. Due to COVID-19, all clients are required to complete a five-day medical observation period prior to residing in the primary residences and beginning regular programming. During this period, clients will receive withdrawal management services and, if sufficiently stabilized, additional medical and clinical services. In addition, during this period clients will be able to begin to familiarize themselves with the Centre's approach. For example, clients will receive their client handbook, journal and SMART Book, which they can review before receiving their program orientation. It should be noted that the Centre is male-only, but has a parallel facility for women that also offers drug rehab and alcohol treatment services also based on a non-12 step model. Those who would like to learn more about drug rehab and or alcohol treatment services for women should visit the Georgia site at https://georgiastraitwomensclinic.ca.
