Sunshine Coast Announces Ad Campaigns Aimed at Trauma Treatment in British Columbia for First Responders

Trauma Treatment in British Columbia

Sunshine Coast is recognized as one of the top drug and alcohol treatment programs in Canada. The company is announcing new advertising focused on trauma treatment in BC for first responders.

Sunshine Coast Health Centre (SCHC), recognized as one of the top drug rehabilitation and alcohol treatment programs in British Columbia, Canada, is pleased to announce new advertising on the topic of trauma treatment options for first responders - firefighters, police officers, paramedics, 911 dispatchers, correction officers, and others. Men suffering from trauma and/or PTSD (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder) can locate Sunshine Coast through search engines and inquire about treatment options at the facility in Powell River, British Columbia.

“As one of the leading drug and alcohol rehab programs in Canada, we have realized that trauma and PTSD can be co-present with drug or alcohol problems,” explained Casey Jordan, Chief Marketing Officer. “Our new advertising aims to get the word out that persons suffering from trauma or PTSD can avail themselves of trauma treatment options following our renowned non-12 step methodology.”

Those seeking to view the ads can simply visit a search engine such as Google or Bing and enter terms such as the following:

  • Trauma Treatment
  • PTSD Treatment Options
  • Trauma Therapy
  • Post-traumatic Stress Disorder Treatment

They will generally see an ad for Sunshine Coast Health Centre. If they click on the ad, they will visit the Centre's Trauma informational page at https://www.sunshinecoasthealthcentre.ca/trauma-program/. There, they can click on the "register now" button or call the help line at 866-487-9010 for a confidential consultation. Persons whose loved ones may be suffering from trauma or PTSD can also inquire, as it is often a relative who takes the first step in seeking out treatment. Many first responders and their families struggle with trauma and hence the new campaign may reach them in a way that a previous focus on drug or alcohol dependency did not.

Here is a description of some of the program options. The trauma program is available to all clients who are struggling with interpersonal and/or work-related (operational) stress and focuses on (1) how clients can self-regulate to deal with dissociation, anxiety, depression, anger, and other symptoms of trauma, and (2) how clients can pursue a fulfilling life, in spite of suffering.

Although there is a Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) component in the trauma program, therapies that focus on the trauma experience are kept to a minimum. In spite of the inevitability of clients bringing up their trauma experiences during the course of treatment, therapists do not focus on these experiences. While it is therapeutically necessary to validate these experiences, the emphasis is on how clients can begin to pursue a more fulfilling life while suffering from trauma symptoms.

OPTIONS FOR DRUG REHAB AND ALCOHOL TREATMENT

Persons suffering from trauma often (but not always) may also suffer from alcoholism or drug dependency. For this reason, the website sports information on drug rehab (https://www.sunshinecoasthealthcentre.ca/drug-rehab/) and alcohol treatment (https://www.sunshinecoasthealthcentre.ca/alcohol-treatment/). Again it should be noted that no two individuals are alike and the best step is to inquire via the website or help line to set up a confidential individual consultation. It should be noted as well that Sunshine Coast Health Centre produces an informational website on drug rehab and detox programs across Canada at http://www.canadadrugrehab.ca/.
