Sunshine Coast Health Centre is a best-in-class alcohol, drug, PTSD, and trauma treatment centre based in British Columbia, Canada. The Centre is announcing personnel changes with the Georgia Strait Women's Clinic

Sunshine Coast Health Centre (https://www.sunshinecoasthealthcentre.ca/), a top-rated drug rehabilitation, alcohol treatment, and trauma / PTSD program in British Columbia and throughout Canada, is proud to announce personnel changes in cooperation with Georgia Strait Women's Clinic. Staff reassignments between the two partner programs are aimed to better optimize both client and staff health.

"Variety, as they say, is the spice of life and so it goes as well with therapy and counseling," explained Casey Jordan, Chief Marketing Officer. "Reassigning our key personnel helps both the therapist and the client to take a fresh look at issues. Everyone benefits."

Here is background on this announcement. Laura Cocksedge will join Sunshine Coast Health Centre in January, and a new counselor, Terra Janot, will start at Georgia Strait Women's Clinic at the same time. This change of counsellors is good for both clients and counselors and helps bring fresh faces and fresh approaches to the two centers. The bios for both are as follows.

Ms. Cocksedge is a psychotherapist with experience in supporting individuals, families, and groups navigate the language of behaviour from developmental disabilities to trauma to daring to do differently. Ms. Cocksedge holds a Bachelors of Child and Youth Care and a Masters in Counselling. She has experience working with children living with complex developmental disabilities, including teaching in the field of early childhood education, as well as working with marginalized families.

As for Terra Janot, she is a counselling therapist who is passionate about the journey towards inner wholeness and transformation. She has been working in the world of addictions and recovery since obtaining her undergraduate degree in addictions counselling in 2010 from the University of Lethbridge. Since then, she has also obtained a masters degree in counselling psychology, and went on to take additional training in trauma-focused counselling using EMDR. Terra is a Canadian Certified Counsellor with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association.
